Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to himq must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:24–29
24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.y 25 He chose to be mistreatedz along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgracea for the sake of Christb as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.c 27 By faith he left Egypt,d not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyere of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.f
29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.g

27 Faith led Moses to leave Egypt without being afraid of the king’s anger. Moses didn’t give up but continued as if he could actually see the invisible God.
28 Faith led Moses to establish the Passover and spread the blood ⸤on the doorposts⸥ so that the destroying angel would not kill the firstborn sons.
29 Faith caused the people to go through the Red Sea as if it were dry land. The Egyptians also tried this, but they drowned.

He chose that instead of enjoying sin’s pleasures for a short time. 26 He suffered shame because of Christ. He thought it had great value. He considered it better than the riches of Egypt. He was looking ahead to God’s reward.
27 Because of his faith he left Egypt. It wasn’t because he was afraid of the king’s anger. He didn’t let anything stop him. He saw the One who can’t be seen.
28 Because of his faith he was the first to keep the Passover Feast. He commanded the people of Israel to sprinkle blood on their doorways. He did it so that the destroying angel would not touch their oldest sons.
29 The people had faith. So they passed through the Red Sea. They went through it as if it were dry land. The Egyptians tried to do it also. But they drowned.
